Law abiding LEADER!
Once, Rajiv Gandhi was driving his own car through the streets of Delhi. A traffic signal turned red. His security officials, in keeping with VIP protocol, wanted to stop traffic so that the Prime Minister's convoy could pass without interruption. As soon as the security personnel signaled him to proceed, Rajiv Gandhi immediately applied the brakes and stopped the car.
When officials cited security concerns, he simply replied, "If the Prime Minister of the country breaks the law, how can we expect discipline from the general public?" He remained there until the signal turned green.
No matter how high the position, discipline and rules are equal for everyone. This is the hallmark of a true leader. This isn't just an anecdote; it's a slap in the face to those who trample the law as soon as they gain power.
Such an example of simplicity and dedication is rare in today's political environment. Do you also believe that today's leaders need this discipline? Please leave your opinion in the comments
