When joining a plastic car part, applying cotton over Feviquick does make the joint stronger, but it often looks bad.
Better method:
Clean the broken part.
Apply Feviquick and join the parts.
Lightly sprinkle some baking soda over the joint.
Within a few seconds, it will harden and act as a filler.
Benefit: The joint becomes stronger, looks neat and clean, and doesn't have the unsightly finish that cotton leaves.
