Prosthetic hand for Rs 40K!

Ansh Mishra, 18-year-old student of Prayagraj (Allahabad) of Uttar Pradesh, has stunned the medical world with his talent. Watching his friend Shaheen struggle handlessly for 15 years, Ansh has created a 'brain-controlled bionic hand' that runs directly with brain electrical signals (Signals). Where such bionic hands cost ₹15 to ₹30 lakhs in the international market, this BRHM project makes it 90% cheaper. The winning part of the Samsung 'Solve for Tomorrow' competition has crafted this prosthetic hand for just ₹40,000, capable of lifting up to 20 kg. This invention is a new hope for millions of disabled Indians who couldn't afford expensive technology. This young scientist from Prayagraj has proved that the Indian minds are expert in finding affordable solutions to world's biggest problems.
