Thermal imaging of Petrol/Electric cars!

Electric cars and gasoline cars appear very different under thermal imaging because of how they generate heat. Gasoline cars produce a lot of heat from their engines and exhaust systems, making the front and underside glow brightly. In contrast, electric cars generate much less heat, so they look cooler and more uniform in a thermal view. The hottest areas on electric cars are usually the wheels and battery components rather than an engine. This difference makes it easy to distinguish between electric and gas-powered vehicles using thermal cameras.
