KitKat heist!
This KitKat heist story has gone to a whole new level. 😅
In Canada, KitKat leaned fully into the story. A delivery truck was spotted moving through Toronto with a dramatic security escort convoy, black SUVs, flags, and what looked like “presidential level” protection, clearly staged for cameras as part of a creative campaign that played off the real chocolate heist.
Honestly, it is kind of brilliant.
What started as a bizarre international theft became one of the smartest brand responses of the week. Instead of pretending nothing happened, they made the joke themselves, even poking fun at the thieves for having “exceptional taste.”
Only KitKat could turn a 12‑ton robbery into a viral ad campaign.
Somewhere out there, someone is sitting on a mountain of chocolate. And KitKat turned that chaos into content.
