Macron & Trump!

Trump Insulted Macron's Wife. Macron's Response Was Perfect. So there was Trump, during an Easter speech of all things, making jokes about Macron's wife hitting him. That actually happened. "Whose wife treats him extremely badly, still recovering from the right to the jaw." That was the President of the United States... talking about another head of state, on Easter, because Macron wouldn't send ships to the Gulf. You genuinely can't make this up. And Macron? He was cool about it. Didn't call a press conference. Just looked at the cameras this morning and said, "What I heard is neither serious nor worthy of response." Cool. Measured. Presidential... the actual kind, not the TV kind. Meanwhile Trump is out here pouting because France wouldn't bail him out of the mess he created in the Strait of Hormuz. So he did what any mature world leader would do. He made a wife-beating joke. This is the Dunning-Kruger effect with a spray tan. The man who's never wrong about anything, winning all the time, never responsible for anything, always the smartest person in every room... except somehow always needing everyone else to clean up after him. Classic. What kills Trump isn't being ignored. It's being dismissed. Macron didn't fight back. He just shrugged. And that shrug probably stings more than any comeback ever could. You don't argue with a man who has no idea how embarrassing he is. You just move on. Macron figured that out. The rest of us are still waiting for Trump to figure out he's talking to world leaders... not contestants on a show he used to host.
