Melania Trump was born as Melanija Knavs in 1970 in Novo Mesto, a town in what was then communist Yugoslavia, now known as Slovenia. She grew up in a small apartment with her parents and her sister. Her family lived a simple life, and from a young age, Melania dreamed of becoming a model. As a teenager, she began modeling and took part in local fashion shows and magazine photo shoots. Her talent soon opened new opportunities, allowing her to work in some of Europe's biggest fashion cities.
