Patience pays!

Patience really does pay off. 🌙 Brazilian photographer Leonardo Sens spent three years chasing one perfect shot: the moon perfectly aligned with Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, nestled right in the statue's outstretched hands. Leonardo studied the moon's position for years, using apps to track when the alignment would happen. He bought a 600mm lens specifically for this moment. But knowing when and capturing it are two different things. In 2021, he couldn't get the framing right. In 2022, clouds blocked the moon on the exact day he needed. Then came June 4, 2023. Leonardo set up on Icaraí Beach, about 7 miles from where the 98-foot statue stands. He arrived early, set up his equipment, and waited. Even then, clouds covered the moon on Saturday. But he came back Sunday morning, and this time, everything aligned. The moon passed behind Christ the Redeemer at exactly the right moment, appearing to rest in the palms of the iconic statue. After three years of failed attempts, he finally got his shot. "In the end, everything went well and I was able to register the long-awaited photo," he said. Three years of patience. One perfect moment
