Strong glutes are considered a more effective anti-aging strategy than skincare products because they address the structural, metabolic, and functional decline of aging, whereas creams only treat the superficial skin surface. Resistance training targeting the glutes triggers a significant increase in collagen synthesis throughout the body, improving dermal thickness, skin elasticity and firmness, far surpassing the localized effects of topical serums. Training the largest muscle group in the body also stimulates the release of human growth hormones that aid in tissue repair, maintaining younger, more resilient skin and body. Active glutes also improve insulin sensitivity and regulate blood sugar. High blood sugar causes glycation, a process where sugar attaches to collagen, causing skin to become thin, saggy and weak.
