Incentive for 'Getting Married'!
South Korea is paying people to get married. ๐ฐ๐ท๐
With the world’s lowest birth rate, South Korea is expanding incentives to encourage marriage and families. In Busan’s Saha District, couples can receive up to $38,000 through a government backed matchmaking program, covering dating, engagement and honeymoon costs. National benefits also include newborn grants, expanded IVF support, better parental leave and housing incentives. Despite spending over $200 billion on birth rate policies in the past 16 years, the country’s fertility rate remains the world’s lowest.
