Accurately predicting DEATH!

Oscar was a therapy cat who lived at Steere House Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Providence, Rhode Island, from 2005 until his reported death in 2022. Staff noticed that he would curl up next to certain residents and stay with them for hours, and those patients would die shortly afterward. After he correctly identified about 25 deaths, the nursing home began a protocol: whenever Oscar was seen lying beside a resident, staff would call the family so they could say goodbye. Oscar was credited with accurately predicting about 50 deaths by 2010, and later reports estimated the number at over 100. Doctors and staff described his behavior as remarkably consistent, though they could not fully explain it.
