Change tire without using Jack!
China’s newest SUVs are showcasing technology that feels straight out of science fiction.
According to CarNewsChina, BYD’s Denza B8 Flash Charge Edition introduced an advanced suspension system called DiSus‑P Ultra, which can lift a single wheel completely off the ground without the need for a jack. In demonstrations, the SUV raised a wheel in under a minute, and a full tire change was completed in just 1 minute and 56 seconds. The system can generate up to nine tons of lifting force, making it practical for off‑road recovery and uneven terrain.
This suspension also allows the SUV to drive on three wheels at low speeds, capped at 15 kilometers per hour. While this feature looks theatrical, it is designed for emergency situations or crossing obstacles, showing how sensors, hydraulics, and software can work together to keep a heavy vehicle stable even in unusual conditions.
This innovation is part of a broader competition among Chinese EV makers such as BYD, Huawei‑backed Aito, and Li Auto, who are using active suspension as a new selling point. Instead of focusing only on range or charging speed, they are demonstrating visible hardware tricks that highlight engineering strength and futuristic design.
