10,000-year-old reminder in a Super-market!

A supermarket in Estonia was built around a giant Ice Age boulder. During construction of the Viimsi Shopping Center in Haabneeme, workers discovered a massive glacial rock buried on the site. It was about 6 metres high. Around 22 metres in circumference. And carried there by glaciers thousands of years ago. Instead of destroying it, they built around it. Now, shoppers walk past a 10,000-year-old reminder of the Ice Age while buying groceries. Most buildings try to erase what was there before. This one made history part of the floor plan.
