Tips to Stay Young through Pineal Gland!
Cayce explains this both physically and spiritually.
Physically:
1. Get outdoor light in the morning
Daylight helps synchronize your brain's internal clock, which regulates the timing of melatonin release later in the day.
2. Protect darkness at night
Keep your bedroom dark and reduce bright light close to bedtime. Light reaching the eyes at night can suppress melatonin production.
3. Maintain a consistent sleep schedule
Aim for sufficient sleep and relatively consistent bedtimes and waking times. This supports circadian regulation.
4. Support healthy aging overall
Exercise regularly, eat a nutritious diet, manage stress and address persistent sleep problems. These habits have evidence for supporting long-term health which Cayce was also pointing to.
In the end, these practices support normal circadian function which helps keep the body healthy.
Spiritually, Cayce saw the gland as a possible interface between physical life and spiritual development. Cayce described the gland as a channel through which “psychic or spiritual forces” could operate in the material world. He associated the pineal gland with the imaginative body and with the ability to develop spiritually.
He then connected this development to a progression of inner qualities: faith, hope, virtue, knowledge, brotherly love, understanding, Christ Consciousness and ultimately love itself.
To work the spiritual side:
1. Cayce regarded the mind as an important force in shaping how a person expresses their spiritual nature. A practical way to apply this is to examine your motives:
- Am I acting out of fear or love?
- Am I trying to understand, or simply to be right?
- Am I treating others as I would want to be treated?
- What could I do today that would express my chosen ideal?
2. Cayce emphasized choosing an ideal that guides your life. Examples included love, patience, compassion etc. Practice living these truths daily and with integrity.
3. Meditate and Connect to others. Cayce believed that meditation was key to quieting the mind and listening within. Further, he felt that honestly connecting with others and wishing good for them was key to developing a healthy spiritual life.
