Unwed Father adopts a child!

In September 2014, Aditya Tiwari, a young software engineer from Indore, visited an orphanage on his father's birthday to give out gifts. Away from all the celebration, a tiny baby was lying alone on a cot. His name was Binney. He was born with Down syndrome and a hole in his heart, and his parents had abandoned him. When Aditya played with him, the baby held his finger and wouldn't let go. A month later, Aditya went back. Other children had found families. No one wanted Binney. So Aditya decided to adopt him himself. But he was single and still in his twenties. His parents told him to get married first. The orphanage refused an unmarried man, and the rules said a single parent had to be at least 30. He did not give up. He wrote about 100 emails to officials and kept knocking on every door. In August 2015, the age rule changed to 25. Even then, he was delayed for months and told to choose another child. On January 1, 2016, after almost a year and a half, he finally took his son home and named him Avnish. He was reported as the youngest single man in India to adopt a child with special needs. Aditya now guides and supports other parents of children with special needs. And the baby nobody wanted? The hole in his heart closed on its own. Avnish is 12 today. He has trekked to Everest Base Camp and won a national award for children. Sometimes a family is not born. It is chosen.
