Rain activated Street Art!

On dry days, certain streets in Seoul can look completely ordinary. The pavement is gray, the sidewalks are busy and most people pass without looking down. Then the rain begins, and hidden artwork slowly appears beneath their feet. Fish, turtles, streams and playful scenes emerge across the wet ground, turning an ordinary walkway into a temporary outdoor gallery. The designs are created using a special water-repellent coating. The untreated pavement absorbs the rain and becomes darker, while the coated sections remain lighter and reveal images that were almost invisible when the ground was dry. The project was designed to make rainy days feel less gloomy and give pedestrians a reason to notice the city around them. The same sidewalk has two completely different lives. In sunshine, it is simply a place to walk. In rain, it becomes a work of art. The storm does not wash the images away. It is the storm that brings them to life.
