Split-face CAT!

The most famous split-face cat in the world was tested. Narnia is a British Shorthair with one black half and one grey half. He has hundreds of thousands of followers, and his owner gets asked almost every single day whether he is photoshopped or simply painted on. Breeders finally ran the DNA test on him. The result came back negative. He carries one set of DNA. The explanation turned out stranger than the chimera story. His mother is blue and his father does not carry the gene for that colour at all. No blue embryo could have existed to fuse with in the first place. Something else made that grey half of his face, maybe an allele lost during a cell division, maybe an epigenetic switch.
