Lost in the hills: A noble soul helped!

.
The night was swallowing the unfamiliar streets of Mussoorie when 22-year-old Meera realized her phone was dead. Panic instantly set in. She had checked into her hotel just that afternoon, dropped her bags, and left to explore. In her rush, she hadn't taken a business card. Now, surrounded by winding, foggy mountain roads, she had completely forgotten the hotel's name and address. 🗺️❌ Shivering in the chill, she flagged down a local taxi driven by an elderly man named Anand. When a tearful Meera confessed she was lost, Anand didn't turn her away. Instead, he turned up the heater and smiled gently. "Don't worry, child. We will find your home for the night." 🙏 For the next two hours, Anand patiently navigated the misty, dark slopes. Every hotel looked identical. Feeling guilty for wasting his time, Meera begged him to just drop her off at a police station. Anand refused. He stopped the cab and handed her a flask of hot chai. ☕ "Close your eyes," he coached softly. "Don't look for names. What did you hear or feel when you arrived this afternoon?" Meera took a sip, calmed her racing heart, and closed her eyes. Suddenly, a memory clicked. "Wind chimes," she whispered. "There was a massive tree by the entrance, and the wind chimes were deeply loud." Anand’s face lit up. "The old oak at Rosewood Inn!" 🌟 He drove up a narrow, hidden lane. His headlights soon illuminated a sprawling oak tree with heavy bamboo chimes swaying in the breeze next to a familiar wooden door. Relieved, Meera tried to pay him double for his patience, but Anand firmly refused, accepting only the standard fare. As she walked to the entrance, Anand didn't just drive away. He waited faithfully by the gate until she safely stepped inside the lobby and waved. Only then did his taxi fade into the mountain night.
