Bamboo could become fuel!

What if one of the fastest growing plants on Earth could power your car? 🎋 Researchers at Worcester Polytechnic Institute say bamboo can be turned into fuel for as little as 2.75 dollars per gasoline gallon equivalent. That figure comes from economic modeling of a mature commercial plant, so it is a projection and not a pump price today. The team also found its life cycle emissions are 26 times lower than petroleum diesel. Bamboo grows fast, needs little land, and does not compete with food crops. It also stores carbon in its roots. 🌍 For families facing high fuel bills, cleaner travel could one day cost less. 🚗 The future of fuel may already be growing around us.
