142,000 sea turtle hatchlings!
A beach full of hope — and a future set free.
Mexico is celebrating a powerful conservation victory after more than 142,000 sea turtle hatchlings were successfully released into the ocean in 2025. Along protected coastlines, communities, volunteers, and conservationists worked together to safeguard nests, guide hatchlings, and give them a fighting chance at survival.
These tiny turtles represent more than numbers — they symbolize years of protection, education, and collective responsibility toward endangered marine life. It’s a reminder that when people unite for nature, even the most vulnerable lives can be given a new beginning in the wild.
