Truth of umbilical cord!

They say the umbilical cord is cut at birth. But every mother knows—that’s only a physical truth. The real connection is never severed. When a child cries, a mother feels it stir inside her chest. When her child is hurting, the ache settles deep in her own bones. And when her child laughs, her spirit glows from the inside out. There is a thread no one can see. Woven from love, instinct, prayer, and quiet worry. It’s the thread that wakes her in the middle of the night, whispering, Go check. Just to be sure. Even when her children are grown, living far away, building lives of their own. That’s why she says, “Drive safely.” Not as advice— but as a blessing. A prayer disguised as a sentence. A mother lives with her heart slightly open, always alert. Loving beyond time. Beyond distance. Beyond reason. Because motherhood does not end. Not when the hospital doors close behind you. Not when your child earns a diploma, or keys, or a new name. Not even when they become parents themselves. Wherever a child goes, a piece of a mother’s heart walks beside them forever.
