“Grandma,” wear that title with pride!
Don’t try to teach everyone what to do even when you’re sure you’re right. Remember how much it bothered you when elders gave advice you never asked for. You didn’t follow it then, and others won’t now. Don’t help unless you’re asked.
If you have grandchildren, and they call you “Grandma,” wear that title with pride. It’s one of the most beautiful names in the world.
Don’t waste your savings trying to look young. It won’t work. Spend them on moments, experiences, trips, laughter — on things that make you feel alive. Aim for elegance, not youth. Trust me elegance is far more beautiful.
Take care of your partner, even if he becomes forgetful, wrinkled, or grumpy. Remember who he once was — strong, joyful, full of laughter. Perhaps now, you are all he has.
Don’t feel pressured to understand every new technology or trend. You don’t need to keep up with everything. Just do what you love while you still can.
Keep your dignity until the very end, no matter what. Always try to do good because it matters.
And never forget this: if you are still alive, it is because somewhere, someone still needs you.
