Air-conditioned Vest!

What if your work vest could actually help keep you cool? 🌡️❄️ China is testing wearable “air-conditioned” cooling vests to help outdoor sanitation workers cope with extreme summer heat. The bright yellow vests are equipped with small, low-noise fans positioned around the waist. They circulate air around the body and help sweat evaporate faster, potentially reducing heat stress while workers spend hours outdoors. Workers can choose between three fan speeds, while the rechargeable battery provides roughly 3–4 hours of continuous cooling. The vests are currently being tested among street cleaners in Nanjing’s Xuanwu District, with the goal of making difficult outdoor work safer and more comfortable. As heatwaves become more frequent and intense in many parts of the world, technology like this could become increasingly important for people who can’t simply stay indoors when temperatures rise. For someone working under the summer sun for hours… A little extra cooling could make a very big difference.
