On the ORAC scale (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity), ground cloves rank at the absolute top. This is due to the extreme concentration of Eugenol. While blueberries are famous for antioxidants, cloves are roughly 100 times more potent by weight. Adding just a tiny pinch (the size of a match head) to your coffee or oatmeal provides more DNA-protective power than an entire bowl of expensive "superfruits."
