Colorful images of Moon!

A breathtaking composite image showcasing 48 distinct colors of the Moon, captured over a decade. Marcella Giulia Pace, an Italian primary school teacher with a deep passion for astronomy, ventured into astrophotography. She selected the 48 most vibrant photos taken during moonrise, moonset, or atmospheric scattering, resulting in stunning color variations. Although this composite image was created over 10 years, Marcella explained that it doesn’t actually take that long to capture the Moon’s various colors. In fact, during a single moonrise, one can observe the Moon’s color changes as it ascends through different atmospheric layers. Image credit: Marcella Giulia Pace
