Crabeater Seal!

The crabeater seal has one of the most unusual tooth structures in the animal kingdom. Instead of simple pointed teeth for tearing flesh, each tooth has multiple cusps—branch-like projections that interlock with neighboring teeth. When the seal closes its mouth, these cusps form a tight, mesh-like sieve. This allows the seal to trap tiny prey like krill while expelling water, essentially turning its mouth into a natural filtration system. It’s a rare example of a carnivorous mammal evolving teeth that function more like a whale’s baleen than typical predator dentition.
