It may sound surprising, but it’s true that Samsung is much more than just a smartphone brand. The company has multiple divisions—like Samsung C&T, which played a major role in constructing the Burj Khalifa, and Samsung Heavy Industries, one of the world’s largest shipbuilders. In defense, Samsung has also been involved in systems like the K9 Thunder through its defense arm.
So while most people know Samsung for its electronics, especially smartphones, those are actually just one part of a massive conglomerate that operates in construction, shipbuilding, engineering, and defense industries—making it one of the most diversified companies in the world.
