People can't afford healthcare - this guy wants more!

Bernie Sanders just destroyed Pete Hegseth's war budget in 30 seconds flat, and the math is devastating. Sanders didn't mince words: "People can't afford healthcare. People can't afford childcare. And this guy, in addition to giving tax breaks to billionaires, now wants to spend another $200 BILLION on a war that should never have been fought." While Trump's Pentagon demands $200 billion more for an unauthorized war nobody voted for, 20% of American households are already spending half their income just to keep a roof over their heads. People are rationing insulin. Parents are skipping childcare. And Hegseth's response to the price tag? "It takes money to kill bad guys." That $200 billion? It would fully cover Medicaid for the 17 million Americans about to lose it. It would feed the 22 million people losing food stamps. It would provide medical care to 1.8 million disabled vets from the last forever war. All of it, for the same price as three more weeks of bombs. The war is already burning through over a billion dollars a day. The first 100 hours alone cost $3.7 billion. This $200 billion ask is four times what the Pentagon originally floated — and Hegseth is already hinting the number could go higher. Congress never authorized this war. There's no defined mission. No exit strategy. Iraq ultimately cost $3 trillion. We know how this ends.
